In just a few days, 35 alumni and friends will be headed to Israel as part of a Calvin Alumni Association/Calvin Academy for Lifelong Learning study tour. Our experienced leaders, Bill and Lyn Vanden Bosch have labeled this trip a "pilgrimage" and we pilgrims have been preparing for travel with that perspective.
We're intending to visit many places--including Caesarea, Nazareth, Capernaum, Jericho, Bethlehem and, of course, Jerusalem. In addition, we're anticipating time in Ibillin and a meeting with Father Elias Chacour, the author of Blood Brothers.
It is our intent to send short missives from the Holy Land during our journey during March 11-23. You can find our basic itinerary here. Do come along with us as fellow pilgrims!
