Calvin Alumni Visit Israel | Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10, 2015

We've arrived! Many of us gathered this morning (Monday) at the Prince Center to board our bus to O'Hare.  Several others--from Colorado, Illinois and California--joined us there, where we took the first leg of our adventure, leaving at 5:30 PM. Nine hours later found us disembarking in Vienna where we enjoyed a welcomed break to stretch our legs, grab a good cup of coffee and spend time in conversation as we continue to get to know one another.

After a quick 3 hour flight to Tel Aviv, clearing security, capturing our luggage, finding our guides and the Vanden Bosches, welcoming a few more friends from Pennsylvania and Grand Rapids who flew in separately, and marveling at our first real glimpse of Israel...we gratefully arrived at the King Solomon Hotel where we enjoyed dinner and conversation. We all turned in early hoping for a good night's sleep and anticipating tomorrow when we will begin our walk "in the light of Jesus." - Nancy Westra
